Patients with mold illness typically present with a constellation of symptoms across multiple organ systems: fatigue, cognitive impairment ("brain fog"), recurrent sinus infections, shortness of breath, joint pain, mood changes, light and sound sensitivity, and unusual neurological symptoms. Lab values may be in the normal range. Imaging is usually unremarkable. And yet the patient is genuinely, often profoundly, unwell.
